Spring Yard Waste Collection Has Ended

Residents Are Being Asked to

Remove Bags From Right of Way Areas

Residents are being asked to remove the leaf bags from the right of way areas in front of their homes and bring the items to the drop off area which is located at the City Highway Yard.

The Spring yard waste pick up program provided by the City ended on April 11th.  If the bags that are currently out sit outside until November they will disintegrate and the crews will not be able to handle them.

Drop off is located at the City Highway Yard beside the WTAJ TV 10 Studio, 5010 6th Avenue, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  All items must be in brown compost bags.

If residents cannot drop off the bags then they will need to be moved from the right of way and stored preferably in a garage or under cover and out of the elements until the fall collection.

Questions should be directed to the City Highway Department at 949-2212.
