PURPOSE:
The Altoona Housing Authority, a five (5) member Board, was created to provide housing for individuals and families who cannot afford safe, sanitary housing in the private market. Members are appointed for a five (5) year term by the Mayor with the approval of Council. *Residency requirement.
ENABLING LEGISLATION:
Per Housing Authority Law of 1937, May 28, P.L. 955, 35 P.S. 1541 et. seq. (1545)(b).

MEETING:
Held the second Wednesday of each month at 8:00 A.M. in the Board Room of the Housing Authority Administrative Office Building located at 2700 Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Altoona, PA 16602.
