PURPOSE:
The Redevelopment Authority derives its powers and duties from the Pennsylvania State Urban Redevelopment Law. It executes urban renewal projects, manages the City Transportation Center, and administers the city's Blighted Property Program. In conjunction with this, the Authority administers the Vacant Land Management and Housing Programs for the City.
Five (5) member Board, appointed by the Mayor, for a term of five (5) years. *Residency requirement.
