Department Function:

 

  • coordinate all communications and correspondence for the Mayor and City Council and provide staff support
  • in cooperation with the City Manager, prepare Council agendas and other documents necessary for Council meetings and coordinate participation
  • attend all City Council meetings and record minutes
  • record and maintain all executive documents, resolutions, ordinances and meeting minutes for the City of Altoona
  • create and coordinate all public relations for the City of Altoona
  • participate in special projects as assigned
  • fulfill public records requests for information by city departments and the public
  • maintain and preserve all historical documents and information within the archives of the City of Altoona
