Functions of the Department:
- Run the day to day operations of the City while being advised by City Council
- Direct, supervise and manage the City directors and departments
- Prepare the agenda for all Council Meetings, supply facts pertinent thereto and attend all Council meetings.
- Make recommendations to Council concerning municipal policy and other matters
- Prepare and present to Council the annual operating budget and long range fiscal plans for the City
- Negotiate labor contracts and other contracts with respect to the City
