Functions of the Department: 

  • Run the day to day operations of the City while being advised by City Council
  • Direct, supervise and manage the City directors and departments
  • Prepare the agenda for all Council Meetings, supply facts pertinent thereto and attend all Council meetings.
  • Make recommendations to Council concerning municipal policy and other matters
  • Prepare and present to Council the annual operating budget and long range fiscal plans for the City
  • Negotiate labor contracts and other contracts with respect to the City
