All persons owning a dog who live within the City of Altoona are required to obtain a yearly City Dog License.  These licenses may be obtained at the following locations:

  • City Hall (Department of Codes and Inspections Office) M-F 8:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m. (814)949-2456
  • Fiore True Value Hardware - 5514 6th Avenue, Altoona
  • Central PA Humane Society - 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona
  • Lou's Tackle Box - 906 8th Avenue, Altoona

Neutered/Spayed License                                         $  9.00
Senior/Disabled Citizen Regular Licens                         $  9.00
Senior/Disabled Citized Neutered/Spayed License          $  6.00
 
Please note:  Vendors other than the City of Altoona charge a 50 cent fee

(REQUIRES TATTOO or Microchip, CAN BE OBTAINED AT CITY HALL ONLY)
