Notice is hereby given: Altoona City Council will hold a Public Hearing at 5:00
P.M. on Monday, August 11, 2025 in the City of Altoona Training Facility & Council Chambers, 1320 Washington Ave, Altoona, PA, to receive public comment on, and immediately thereafter at the regularly scheduled Council Meeting at 6:00 p.m. that same date, introduce the proposed Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision of Land and Land Development Ordinance, and on September 8, 2025, at their regularly scheduled council meeting, consider whether to adopt and may actually adopt the proposed ordinances entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALTOONA AMENDING CHAPTER 800 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ALTOONA ENTITLED “ZONING” TO REPEAL THE CURRENT TEXT AND REPLACE IT IN ITS ENTIRETY; PROVIDE FOR SEVERABILITY OF PROVISIONS; REPEAL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES; REAFFIRMING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ALTOONA AS AMENDED AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALTOONA AMENDING CHAPTER 640 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ALTOONA ENTITLED “SUBDIVISION OF LAND AND LAND DEVELOPMENT” TO REPEAL THE CURRENT TEXT AND REPLACE IT IN ITS ENTIRETY; PROVIDE FOR SEVERABILITY OF PROVISIONS; REPEAL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES; REAFFIRMING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ALTOONA AS AMENDED AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A full copy of each of the proposed ordinances is available for review Monday through Friday, during regular business hours, in the City Clerk’s Office, Altoona City Hall, 1301 12th Street, Suite 100, Altoona, PA, the Blair County Law Library, 423 Allegheny Street, Hollidaysburg, and the Altoona Mirror Library, 301 Cayuga Avenue, Altoona. A full copy of each may also be viewed on the City’s website, www.altoonapa.gov.
