Project Description:

The City of Altoona is seeking grant funding to make improvements to Gospel Hill Park. Gospel Hill Park, best known for its flag that can be seen throughout the City, is also a spot where residents and visitors can come to play, relax, walk, and enjoy the vista of the City. The City of Altoona’s goal is to revitalize this underused space and bring visitors back to the park. Proposed improvements to the park are contingent on grant funding and may be phased as funding becomes available. The improvements include a basketball half court, a playground (in place of the current ball field), and a new pathway through the park to the overlook. Please view the site plan and provide any comments by August 29, 2025.
