Ron Beatty is a proud native of Altoona and a graduate of Altoona Area High School. Ron has been in business in Altoona and the surrounding area since 1976 and is a self-employed small business owner since 1990. Prior to his election to Altoona City Council, Ron volunteered as a member of the Altoona Redevelopment Authority and Land Bank, where he continues to serve to date. Ron’s ultimate goal is to eliminate blight. Ron is continuously exploring new tools and resources to help and improve the city’s neighborhoods. Ron is also an active member on the Blair County Convention Center Board of Directors. Ron is married to his wife Kathie and they have three grown children and six grandchildren.
